Great Place to Teach
Adjunct Assistant Professor (Current Employee) –  Daytona Beach, FLJune 7, 2018
A great place to teach part-time, with pay based on the student load for each class. Some courses are more competitive than others to get scheduled for. Online instruction allows for extremely flexible hours.
Pros
Pay, networking, industry/academic access
Cons
sometimes frustrating waiting to be assigned a course to teach.

Adjunct Professor (Current Employee) –  Daytona Beach, FLMay 16, 2018
You must love to teach in an online environment to do well if you are hired to teach online. The compensation is average compared to other schools and you will have to be doing something else in addition to it if you want to make a living.

Outstanding University - Voted Number One for their Online Curriculum Two Years in a Row
Assistant Adjunct Professor (Current Employee) –  WorldwideJanuary 25, 2018
As an Assistant Adjunct Professor, I have the pleasure to instruct students of all ages. Classes are normally 4 hours long. The staff members conduct training monthly for anyone who wants to attend. These training sessions help with professional development. The most enjoyable part of this job is arming students with information to succeed in the real world.

Best Employer
Assistant Adjunct Professor (Current Employee) –  Montgomery, ALDecember 27, 2017
I have been an adjunct professor at Embry Riddle since 2015. They provide excellent training and professional development training for professors. It is one of the best universities to work for and the environment is above reproach! I would highly recommend Embry to anyone interested in teaching at the college level. Great experience!
Cons
Work is based on course enrollment

Lots of work, Little Compensation
Adjunct Assistant Professor (Current Employee) –  Global (Worldwide Campus)December 17, 2017
I think the Review Summary Title pretty much sums it up. There is pre-class set up within the LMS, which can sometimes take an hour or two (depending on class size), and if the class is cancelled for some reason, zero compensation is given. Also, the frequency of classes is too sparse to really make it worth the time spent. Great school....but as with most, adjuncts seem to come out on the short side of the stick.

Worst Place at Which I Have Ever Taught
Adjunct Professor (Current Employee) –  Daytona Beach, FLSeptember 16, 2017
This place exists only to provide flight instruction (it is a glorified flight school, NOT a university), and to protect upper management with their fat salaries and retirements. In the 10 years I worked there, upper management was "re-organized" every other year, the top executives rotating their executive positions around, so they all could maximize their incomes in their unrelenting greed.

The fact that most of their students are in the military and are getting government (taxpayer-funded) tuition waivers, only adds to my disgust.

Don't go to work here. Sorry.

Everything: low pay, no benefits (what else is there to say?)

Sharp operation
Adjunct Professor of English and Communications (Former Employee) –  Daytona Beach, FLSeptember 5, 2017
The faculty and staff in the Humanities & Communications division were first rate. They were committed professionals who worked overtime to ensure that students learned and grew. They had high expectations of their colleagues and hired top notch professionals. The faculty was highly credentialed and did not have an ivory-tower mentality. They worked and served the students as well as their profession. I left only because a full-time offer came through, which spared me an hour's commute each day. However, I'd have stayed at ER if a position had come through before the one I got.
Pros
Faculty and staff professionalism. Culture.
Cons
Parking on campus, but a new lot opened before I left, which helped.
