It's retail
Not the hardest work in the world but not the easiest either. aspect of the job is definitely customers and the kinds of questions and things they would ask for and if you gave any back sass you know you get in trouble by management so you just went along with whatever it was most people all right but you know you get those few people.
Pros
Good culture
Cons
Customers

A great place to get a foothold in the job market
Target is, and always has been, a godsend for people looking for their first jobs. While the work is fast-paced, it teaches you valuable skills that can be applied to any number of employment opportunities
Pros
Good starter job, friendly staff
Cons
Not much chance for advancement, hours can be tricky

Productive and a fun and fast-paced workplace.
I had a great time working at Target. I learned a lot about having a good work ethic and how to talk with guests. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Don't work here
Horrible communication and a terrible work environment. Working for corporations is all about money and not a single bit about the workers. There isn't any compensation or progress here.

Don't work here
I can't comment on Target as a company, but at the employee level, it's atrocious. Management cares more about getting REDcard sign-ups (which is a bad idea, don't get one) then their employess, and will threaten to fire employees for not getting enough.

Target Unload
A day at Target unloading trucks consists of being; quick, accurate, and stamina. You have to put the boxes that come off the truck on U-boats. They all have signs with different locations throughout the store. There is 3 levels on a U-boat helps organize ever aisle in each location. Once the truck is done you have to grab a U-boat for whatever area your in that day. Work the freight out in to the area it goes to. Aisles usually consist of 5-10 sections and 3-6 levels in aisle. After your done working out freight you back stock and throw your cardboard, recycle, and trash.

Don’t do cashiering
This job is the reason why I will be committing suicide in 2020.

No room for advancement, hours have been cut, “guests” are incredibly rude especially if you have an intellectual disability and HR is a joke. If you have a way of doing something else...do it.

Good co - workers
The night shift has the best people to work with, but the time frame is just hard to deal with. The dayshift co workers were not bad, but the management just wasn't that good and caused alot of back ups
Pros
Paid Breaks
Cons
Depending on the shift bad management

Very fast paced a high energy
I didn't enjoy the environment because it was so fast paced and there was a requirement to sell a red card that I didn't agree with. I didn't feel good about having to sell something to someone if they didn't want it. It was much too forceful.

Review Summary
Good compensation and benefit packages, however the work life balance is almost nonexistent. Impossible for a single parent with no support system to work 12 hour days and rotating weekends.

Don’t waste your life, stay in school kids
Worked there for seven years, I was never happy, felt sick going to work. But I had no choice, I needed money. They made us stay till 3 or 4 am and never let us go home.

Target Workplace
Target is a friendly work environment that focussed on the guests that come into the store and prioritizes assisting everyone who comes in. On a typical day, I will talk to about 100-250 people. All while maintaining a good mood and demeanor.

Target
I don’t remember a lot about working at target but it was very open and inclusive. A lot of lgbt+ workers and it felt safe. Though I was made to do things I should not have been allowed to do, overall a fairly good work environment

Sinking ship
Been going downhill since the 90s.. turnover rate is huge, management has little to no ethics, every couple years they increase start rate and you get bumped up to starting rate so you make same as new hires your training! They staff high and don't give enough hours which gets worse every year ... Yeah they starting to pay better per hour but hey can you live off 1 or 2 days a week 9 months out of the year?
Wouldn't be surprised if company goes under in a few years because nobody wants to work there.. its a sinking ship! stay away!
Pros
sometimes they will give staff free sandwiches during months they cut you down to 15 hours a week
Cons
Too many to list

Part-Time was what i signed up for, Management doesnt care though
The job isnt a hard job, until your forced into changing your routines for the lack of support for the team management. I started out as a inbound crew member. ive been told a bunch of times to extend my work times, even though i cant. I was satisfied with my current 6 hour shifts, but the managers didnt want that.. also they work you alot.. i didnt have many days of for a part time job and it felt f like it was a full time job giving more work that others didnt do throughout the day
